Budget Driver and Passenger Protection is optional

Budget Driver and Passenger Protection is optional. You can choose this protection when you book online. For a small fee, it reduces your standard excess liability by up to 90%.

The usual cost of optional protection on general leisure rentals is $25.00 + GST per day

Personal Accident Insurance

As a service to our customers the package includes Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) to provide you with additional peace of mind. You and any authorised driver are covered by Budget's PAI policy while driving the vehicle. The insurance cover is available to persons aged 15 to 70 years at the time of accidental death or personal injury.

Compensation to the occupants injured whilst using a Budget vehicle covers:

• Accidental Death
• Loss of one or more limbs or eyes
• Temporary total disablement for a period not exceeding fifty-two weeks from the happening of the event
• Medical expenses

Replacement to Damaged Vehicles

In the event of an accident, Budget will replace the damaged vehicle at no extra cost.

Windscreen Damage

Irrespective of any excess Budget Driver and Passenger Protection covers the repair or replacement cost of a damaged windscreen at no extra expense to the driver. Your liability for damage to headlights or side and rear windows will be limited to the excess under the agreement. We make it easy to rent a car.
